Safety, Health and Environmental Manager

This role reports to the Head of Operations and will be responsible for leading, developing, implementing and maintaining safety, health and environmental standards throughout the business.  The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the Health and Safety Policy via risk assessments, Safe Systems of Work, internal audits, training and KPIs together with responsibility for the development of a Health and Safety culture across the site.  There is also responsibility for maintaining and developing the business environmental plan.

 

We are currently expanding the site and the factory so health and safety within such a setting would also be an advantage i.e. experience setting up new or extended facility in the food industry.

 

The successful candidate should be NEBOSH qualified and have good experience in a similar role in FMCG with a proven health and safety and environmental record.  Ideally you should have a qualification in Environmental Management as well.

 

You must have excellent communication skills with the ability to develop good working relationships across all levels of employee and management.  You must be able to work to tight deadlines.

 

The hours are Monday to Friday 08:00 – 17:00 in the main however the site is 24/7 so there is a need for flexibility within this role.
